| How to Sell Your Dress |
Selling Your Dress Preparing Your Item
- Make sure your dress has been recently dry cleaned and covered in a protective cover.
- Ensure that you have 1 or 2 good photos of your dress.
- Make sure you know in advance which category your dress comes under.
Register and log onto your home area - both buyers and sellers - Please take a few moments to register your details and choose a username and password by clicking on the ‘Register’ button. Then click on the submit button when finished.
- Click on Logon to place an add and enter your username and password to log into your home area.
- From your home area you can Modify your account, Browse your listings, Add a listing or Save your favourite listings.
Placing an ad - Click on the add a listing button from your home area.
- Fill out the dress details page and upload photos – then click next.
- Finalise payment for listing through the secure Paypal site.
- An automatically generated email will be sent after you have successfully listed your item.
Postage - Remember to advise if postage is included in the listed price or not.
- Remember that Australia Post not only charges by actual weight but ALSO VOLUMETRIC WEIGHT (whichever costs more is the one they charge). See their postal charges information booklet.
Managing Your Listings - Log into your sellers page to:
- View your listed item/s
- Make changes to your listings
- See how many times an item has been viewed
- Advise when an item has sold
Completed Sales - Once a buyer has registered they can view your contact details
- When contacted by a prospective buyer remember to advise about postage.
- Once your sale is complete log into your sellers page and click the corresponding ‘This item is sold’ button.
- This helps to keep the listings fresh and up to date.
Tips for a Good Ad - Be very description and try and include all information relevant to your item.
- Have good clear photographs which shows off your item. Please ensure you note on your ad if the photo has a copyright.
